How I Use My Podcast To Get Booked On Other Podcasts (To Bring In Customers)

A strategy that is working beautifully for one of my businesses right now.

Not sure if you have your own podcast, but if you do I am going to show you how to turn that into a way to get booked on shows in your niche.

One of the businesses I run is an educational platform that teaches kids emotional intelligence.

We have our own podcast called The Empowered Child, we started it to become authority figures in our niche and use it as a marketing channel,

On this podcast we bring on experts in the parenting and mental health space to equip parents and their families with the tools of emotional regulation and mental resilience.

Many of these experts that we bring on have their own shows, ones that would be amazing for our brand if we got featured on.

So I thought strategically,

“How can I get on their shows?”

And this is what I did…

👉 I wrote a blog, “10 Podcasts That’ll Make You A Better Parent”

I included all of the shows that I thought would be great for us to be on.

👉 Then I emailed the host to let them know they made the list.

They wrote back happy as heck to be featured on there… Who wouldn’t be?

👉 I then asked them if they’d like to be featured on our show.

They all pretty much agree, it’s even more publicity for them now.

(This entire time I am adding “goodwill” into the relationship, helping them get their name out there while letting them shine.)

We do the show, then when it's released we follow up and say

“Hey, here is the episode. It was great. I was thinking, would it be helpful for your audience if I went on to share (xyz solution)?”

And boom…

Due to the law of reciprocation, this works beautifully for us.

And we find ourselves booked on more and more podcasts in our niche because of it.. which brings us brand new customers by adding leads to our email list daily from the interviews.
